Courtney Laine Self is a director/choreographer. She directed Sheila and Moby and wrote her thesis on Crazy for You. She also likes to push Patrick's buttons. And the feeling is very mutual.

Topics include: Ken Ludwig (the man, not the poster), the interpretive power of dance, and Susan Stroman.

Featured recording:

Crazy for You - Original Broadway Cast Recording (1992)

Patrick's new play Sheila and Moby presented by Flying V Theatre is NOW PLAYING. So episodes over the next few weeks will all be related to that production. Susanna Pretzer is Flying V's literary manager and served as dramaturg during Sheila and Moby's almost two-year development process.

ORIGINAL NOTES:
It's a Zeitler*! Dramaturg Susanna Pretzer is here to talk about this Joe Iconis musical based on the YA novel but Patrick keeps bringing up Heathers and it's super annoying.

Featured recordings:
Be More Chill - Original Cast Recording (2015)
Heathers - World Premiere Recording (2014)

*(An episode about a show of which Patrick has never heard.)
